Police Charge Annapolis Woman With Murdering 2-Year-Old Daughter

Annapolis police said a tip led to the arrest of the woman.

Annapolis police charged a local woman with the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, according to a statement from the department.

After receiving a tip from a "concerned citizen" on Wednesday that the daughter had not been seen in recent days and was abused, police investigated the mother.

Police said investigators determined Chelsea Michelle Booth, 25, killed Kassidey Booth sometime earlier this week and disposed of her body. Police charged Chelsea Booth with first- and second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
