Police: Man Robbed of Briefcase Monday Afternoon

Annapolis police said a man was robbed Monday afternoon by a suspect who chased him down and shoved him from behind. 

Police said that they responded to the robbery at 301 Bloomsbury Square shortly after 2:30 p.m. Monday. The victim, a resident of Deerwood, MD, told officers that another man pushed him and took his briefcase from his shoulder before running off. The victim tried to chase the suspect but was not able to keep up. 

Officers searched for the suspect but could not find him, and a search by K-9 unit was not possible due to the weather conditions. 

Police said there were no witnesses, but that the victim was not hurt.
