Police: Suspects Take Cigarettes and Cash in Armed Robbery

Two robbers forced a cashier to the ground with a gun in a gas station store robbery.

A gas station clerk told Annapolis police a suspect held a gun to his head and demanded cash in a robbery on Sunday.

The armed robbery was reported at 4:50 a.m. Sunday at a gas station in the 2200 block of Bay Ridge Avenue, according to a police report from the Annapolis Police Department.

A clerk at the business told police that he had been cleaning the secure building from the outside when he was approached by two suspects, one of whom held the gun to his head, and demanded money.

The suspects ordered the clerk to open the door to the locked cashier area, forced the clerk to the ground and removed between $500-600 in cash from the register and cigarettes, according to the report. The suspects then fled the area on foot.
