Rotary Clubs Honor Locals for Community Service

Area honored four local residents for their contributions to the community.
On April 19, the residents were celebrated at the 2012 Service Above Self Awards dinner at the , according to a news release. About 200 Rotarians and their guests attended the ceremony.

- Bruce Michalec: Outstanding service as the executive director of the Anne Arundel County Food Bank
- Dr. Fedra Witting: Offered free dental care to people in remote areas of the world
- Dian "CJ" Cornelius-James: Strong support of breast cancer research
The Service Above Self Awards are given annually to non-Rotarians.
