School Secretaries Slated For Raise In New Deal With Anne Arundel Board Of Education
School secretaries are scheduled to get a raise in the next academic year. The Anne Arundel Board of Education recently approved the deal.

The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County has approved a negotiated agreement for the coming fiscal year with the Secretaries and Assistants Association of Anne Arundel County (SAAAAC) that provides step and cost-of-living increases for members of the bargaining unit.

The agreement with SAAAAC covers Fiscal Year 2024, which begins July 1, 2023. It provides for a step increase for all eligible employees and a 6 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all bargaining unit employees.
The increases are contingent on funding from the Anne Arundel County government.

The Board is still negotiating agreements with the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County; the Association of Educational Leaders; and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Local 1693.
