ANNAPOLIS, MD — Shots were fired twice recently in Annapolis, city police said. Nobody was hurt, but property damage was reported in one case.
Officers said they received numerous reports of shots fired in the area of Clay Street and Abney Lane Sunday around 11:51 p.m.
Authorities said they "conducted knock-and-talks with residents, who confirmed hearing gunshots."

The Annapolis Police Department said two unknown males were seen running away from Abney Lane toward W. Washington Street.
Officers said they searched the area, but they couldn't find the males. Authorities did not find any evidence or property damage either.

Police said an additional call for shots fired arose in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive while officers were still investigating the Clay Street gunfire.
Authorities said they saw three vehicles that appeared to be damaged in the Newtowne Drive incident.
One vehicle was struck by gunfire, shattering its windshield, police said, adding that they found a black iPhone on the ground nearby.
Officers did not announce any arrests or identify any suspects in either case.
