
Caps off to graduates!
On Sunday, 119 seniors are scheduled to receive their diplomas at the school's 220th commencement ceremony, according to a news release. An additional 24 students will receive master's degrees.
Justin Andrew Leishman, Jay Wesley Rohrer and Krista Erica Godwin of Annapolis are included in the graduating class.

The featured commencement speaker is Salvatore Scibona, a 1997 graduate and award-winning novelist, the release states. Scibona was chosen by the senior class.
The ceremony will kick off at 10:30 a.m. on the college's front lawn. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Francis Scott Key Auditorium.

The college is also marking the start of a new tradition with this graduation.
Every student's graduation gown will be made using approximately 23 recycled plastic bottles, according to the St. John's website.
To accomodate the celebration, College Avenue will be closed to motorists from 10:15 a.m. to noon between St. John's Street and King George Street. The first block of Prince George Street will also be closed.
