State Trooper Charged With Sex Offense, False Imprisonment In Anne Arundel County: Police
A state trooper was charged with a sex offense and false imprisonment in Anne Arundel County, police said. He was suspended with pay.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A Maryland state trooper was arrested this weekend in Anne Arundel County on sex-related charges, police said.
The Maryland State Police identified the suspect as Trooper First Class Ryan Bandy.
State police said the Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested Bandy around 4 a.m. Saturday.

A press release said Bandy is charged with false imprisonment, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
A district court commissioner released Bandy on his own recognizance, the release said.

The Maryland State Police said it suspended Bandy with pay.
The state police said Bandy has been a sworn member for 9 years and 10 months. He was assigned to the Westminster Barrack.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is handling the criminal investigation. The Maryland State Police Internal Affairs Division is leading the administrative investigation, the release said.
