Teen Fatally Shot In Annapolis: Police

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in Annapolis, police said. Officers have not yet released the victim's name.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot this weekend in Annapolis, police said.

Officers have not yet publicly identified the victim.

Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.

Authorities said the shooting happened Saturday around 7:56 p.m. inside a home in the 100 block of Holeclaw Street. That's located in the Parole neighborhood.

The Annapolis Fire Department pronounced the victim dead on the scene, a press release said.

Police said the scene was "confined to a residence."

Officers asked anybody with information to call Detective Cpl. Paschall at 410-972-8856 or 410-268-9000, extension 5743.

Authorities have not released any information on a potential suspect.
