Teenage Musician Donates Talent To Fundraisers: Annapolis Star Student

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Nancy A Gordon who nominated Nathan, an 11th grader from Annapolis.

I’m his grandmother and favorite fan

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

My star student contributes much [to] his school, church, community, and is a talented musician who has made a name for himself on the local music scene. He has donated his talents for several fundraisers, and is active in sports. He never seems to sit idle. He is sought after to play in venues in Annapolis, Baltimore, and the Eastern shore. He is a good teenager who deserves recognition.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

My star student is a role model for a teenager who knows how to fulfill his dreams with hard work, getting involved in church and civic activities, and [valuing] family life. With these tools, he has succeeded in his dreams, and the future looks even better for him!
