What's Open, Closed in Annapolis for Christmas 2016

Look out for refuse and recycling, government office, and transit schedule changes, among others.

From the City of Annapolis: City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Monday, December 26 for the Christmas Holiday.

Refuse and Recycling will be shifted by one day, so if your normal collection day is on Monday, then collection will occur on Tuesday. If your normal collection day is on Tuesday, then collection will take place on Wednesday. There will be no yard or bulk collection on Wednesday, December 28th.

Also, the Stanton Center will be closed on Sunday, December 25th and Monday the 26th. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, December 25th but open on Monday December 26th.

The Annapolis Transit schedule will also be affected. There will be no service on Sunday, December 25 but Annapolis Transit will operate a Sunday schedule on Monday, December 26th. To learn more about the schedule, go to http://tinyurl.com/hoq3r8u.

Meanwhile, the City of Annapolis government offices will also be closed on Monday, January 2nd for the New Year Holiday. Like during the Christmas holiday, refuse and recycling will be shifted by one day, so if your normal collection day is on Monday, then collection will occur on Tuesday. If your normal collection day is on Tuesday, then collection will take place on Wednesday. There will be no yard or bulk collection on Wednesday, January 4th.

The Annapolis Transit schedule will also be affected for the New Year Holiday. There will be no service on Sunday, January 1st but Annapolis Transit will operate a Sunday schedule on Monday, January 2nd.

Annapolis Transit will also run a Saturday schedule, no Purple Route, on both Saturday, December 24th and December 31st.
