Woman Charged with Jabbing Victim in American Apparel Store in Annapolis Mall

Police said a woman used a sharp instrument in a fight at the Annapolis Mall on Monday.

Police have charged a 26-year-old woman with assault by using a sharp instrument against a victim in a store at Westfield Annapolis Mall.

Anne Arundel County police were notified of the incident at the American Apparel Store on Monday at 6:15 p.m.

According to a police report, an argument  began at the store involving several people. During the argument, a woman swung her hands and struck a victim in the back with a sharp instrument, which punctured the victim's back. Police did not identify the object in the report.

The victim refused treatment at the scene, and the wound was described by police as a superficial puncture.

Octavia Williams, 26, of West Forest Road in Annapolis, was charged with first- and second-degree assault.
