Anne Arundel Schools Make Weather Decision For Monday Classes

Anne Arundel County Schools have made a weather decision for Monday, Jan. 6, classes. Here's the latest.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — All Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 6, because of the incoming winter storm expected to bring close to a foot of snow to parts of the state.

There will be no instruction for students, the district announcement said.

A Code Red is in effect for employees. Unit III personnel must report to their work locations as required.

The cancelation was announced about 4:30 p.m. Sunday by the district.

All Anne Arundel County Public schools, school offices, and central offices are closed due to inclement weather.

School Activities: Evening high school and alternative programs are canceled when AACPS is closed due to inclement weather.

After-school and evening activities at schools — including practices, performances, clubs, and athletic events — are canceled.
