If you need some chow on Christmas, give these places a try.

In one the iconic scenes from “A Christmas Story,” the Parker family is forced to have an alternative Christmas dinner after the neighbor’s dogs storm into their kitchen and eat the turkey.

I laugh every time I see the family dining at Chop Suey Palace, but the possibility of ruining Christmas dinner is something everyone must face.

Just in case something tragic happens in your effort to prepare the ultimate feast, here’s a helpful registry of local eateries that will be open on Christmas day.

Pasadena
is your 24-hour Christmas solution! They've got a menu the size of an encyclopedia so you're bound to be able to find something you enjoy.

Glen Burnie
Open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., satisfy your pancake craving by stopping by the in Glen Burnie. Use the trip to try the restaurant's seasonal holiday hotcakes: White Chocolate Mint Chip Pancakes, Pumpkin Praline Pancakes, Eggnog Pancakes or the healthier SIMPLE & FIT Pumpkin Pancake combo.

Severna Park
Just visualize the scene from “A Christmas Story” and this is the place! It’s the in the Robinson Crossing shopping center and it’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a full menu and carryout.

Odenton
The legendary restaurant will not be open on Christmas Day, but only because it's not usually open on Sundays. But there are a few other restaurants operating as normal, including the in the Odenton Shopping Center. The restaurant is well known for its dumplings, orange chicken and other Americanized Chinese dishes. It's open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas.

Crofton
If you're looking for a cup of coffee to go with your Christmas celebration and treats you may want to check out the Caribou Coffee in the Village at Waugh Chapel. They serve light sandwiches and countless cups of seasonal flavored and themes coffee and tea.

Annapolis
will be open Christmas Day at 6 p.m. and remain open until 2 a.m. Dec. 26. The kitchen will be open to help you out whether you want to step away from the festivities at home for a drink and a quick bite or you're looking to escape the kitchen altogether.
