Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Crownsville Claims Shady Side Man: Police
A motorcyclist died this weekend in a Crownsville crash, police said. The 59-year-old was from Shady Side.

CROWNSVILLE, MD — A motorcyclist died Saturday in a Crownsville crash, police said.
Officers identified the victim as 59-year-old Gregory Alan Hood of Shady Side.
Authorities said Hood was driving a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle north on St. Stephens Church Road at Penderbrooke Drive around 7:48 a.m.

The motorcycle crossed the center line of the roadway into oncoming traffic, police said.
Officers said the motorcycle then hit a 2014 Toyota Sequoia SUV that was heading south on St. Stephens Church Road.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the motorcycle driver dead on the scene, authorities said.
The Toyota driver wasn't hurt.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
