Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Blaze at Pasadena Home
Nearly 30 firefighters came to a home at the 7700 block of Queens Park Road. The fire was caused by improperly discarded ashes.

Firefighters quickly extinguished blaze at a Pasadena home early Wednesday morning.
Division Chief Keith Swindle of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said firefighters responded at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday to the 7700 block of Queens Park Road, and found smoke pouring out of a single-family home.
It took 27 firefighters 13 minutes to get the fire under control, Swindle said.

There was no one hurt or displaced by the fire.
Investigators determined that the fire was caused by smoking ashes that were improperly discarded, Swindle said. Â

The fire caused about $5,000 in damage.
