Witnesses told authorities that a vehicle suddenly stopped at that intersection and a man fell out of the driver's side front door before the vehicle fled, a press release said.

Detectives don't know when the victim was shot or if the shooter was the same person who pushed him from the vehicle.

Police said they found the vehicle nearby in the area of Old Riverside Road near Arundel Road.

"The victim and a suspect were in the same vehicle," Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesperson Marc Limansky told Patch in a Monday email. "We cannot definitively say that the suspect was the shooter. The victim was pushed from the vehicle and found to have gunshot wound(s). There was no evidence of a crash. The vehicle was later recovered."
