Police Announce Seven Promotions for Veteran Officers, Employees

Police Chief Larry Tolliver said in a release that these employees were vital to the success of the department.

Five veteran Anne Arundel County Police officers and two civilians were promoted Friday morning in Glen Burnie to higher positions.

The following received promotions:

  • Captain David Waltemeyer, Jr. to the position of major of the Administrative Services Bureau
  • Lieutenant Francis Tewey to the position of captain of the Eastern District
  • Sergeant James Phillips to the position of lieutenant at Eastern District
  • Corporal Melanie Jamieson to the position of sergeant at the Western District
  • Corporal Bobby Crawford to sergeant at the Community Relations Division
  • Jeremy Serio to the position of Police Communications Operator III in the Communications Section
  • Sarah Hice to the position of Police Communications Operator III in the Communications Section

Police Chief Larry Tolliver said in a release that these employees were vital to the success of the department.
