Snow Changes School Plans In Anne Arundel County For Feb. 12

Schools made a snow decision in Anne Arundel County. Here's the plan for Wednesday classes.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools will have virtual classes on Wednesday because of the snowstorm.

AACPS announced the news at 4 p.m. Tuesday "due to the forecast for significant snowfall overnight that could inhibit the safe transport of students to schools tomorrow."

The forecast calls for 4 to 7 inches in Anne Arundel County through Tuesday evening with snow shifting to a wintry mix by Wednesday morning. AACPS also had virtual classes on Tuesday.

The schedule for the virtual day is available at aacps.org/virtuallearning.

Evening high school classes are canceled on Wednesday. There will not be any in-person after-school activities.

AACPS central and satellite office employees will work virtually on Wednesday. Unit III personnel will receive additional instructions for reporting to work.
