Summer Begins a Day Early for Some Students
Eight public schools will close one day early on June 13 in order to accommodate construction.

Construction projects will force the closure of some schools one day early in June, in order to accommodate construction projects.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools said it receieved a waiver of the state's 180-school day requirement. For those students affected, the last day of school will come on June 13. Those affected schools will also open one day late in August.

- Annapolis High School
- Central and Severn River middle schools
- Crofton, Lothian, Mills-Parole, and Point Pleasant elementary schools
- Phoenix Academy
All of the impacted schools are scheduled to undergo renovations or expansions during the summer.
