A retiree from Bel Air has won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket from the Maryland Lottery. He plans to use his winnings to pay off bills.

BEL AIR, MD — A retiree from Bel Air couldn't believe his luck when he won $100,000 on a Gold Rush 7s Multiplier scratch-off ticket.

“It said ‘Go to Lottery’. I knew it was a good thing,” the retiree said told lottery officials.

The big winner scanned the prize check QR code on the ticket before scratching it to see if it was a winner. Once he received the abovementioned message, he decided he should scratch the ticket. He saw he matched the number 58 and under the number was a $100,000 prize.
