$50K Lotto Win Credited To Kids' Birthdates For The Numbers Played
A retired federal worker from Aberdeen credits his kids' birthdates for winning him $50K recently.
ABERDEEN, MD — Thanks to his kids' birthdates, a retired federal worker from Aberdeen won $50,000 playing his favorite lotto game, Bonus Match 5.
“I play Bonus Match 5 every night. I never miss it,” the Aberdeen resident told lottery officials. “I have been playing their numbers since they were born and now they are adults."
He was at home, checking the winning numbers to the Jan. 30 drawing on his phone, when he saw his numbers start to match. He said he couldn’t believe he won $50,000 and plans to use the prize to pay bills.

The big winner bought his $2 ticket at the Aberdeen Shell, which is located at 1026 Middleton Road. The Harford County gas station also can celebrate, as it will receive a $500 lottery bonus for selling the lucky winning ticket.
