Forest Hill Retiree Wins $50K On Scratch-Off Ticket

A retired government employee from Forest Hill recently won $50K on a scratch-off ticket she bought.

FOREST HILL, MD — A retired government employee loves to play the lottery and couldn't believe her luck earlier this month.

The Forest Hill woman ended up winning $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket she bought at the Forest Hill Sunoco at 2019 Rock Springs Road.

The $10 game gives players five winning numbers to match and the winner matched each number with a $10,000 prize to give her a total of $50,000.

“I love to play and this was a great win,” she told Maryland Lottery officials.

According to the Harford County resident, she has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and plans to spend her prize on her family. She has been married to her husband for multiple decades and the couple might use the prize to travel to see family, the lottery shared.
