Bel Air Grandfather Finds Luck With Maryland Lottery After Winning $50K
A Bel Air grandfather has won $50K playing Powerball. He plans to use the money to fund a vacation, help out his grandkids and for projects.
BEL AIR, MD — A grandfather from Bel Air who's been playing lottery games for years has finally cashed in.
The man won $50,000 in a July Powerball drawing. He told Maryland Lottery officials that he planned to use his winnings to fund a vacation, possible home remodeling projects and to help out his grandchildren.
Previously, his personal best win was $400 and he also has picked up prizes ranging from $2 to $20. He bought his $8 four-line ticket at the 7-Eleven store at 806 Conowingo Road in Bel Air.
