Construction Worker Fatally Hit By Dump Truck In Work Zone: Maryland State Police
A construction work was fatally hit by a dump truck in a work zone Tuesday in the area of southbound Interstate 95 near Mountain Road.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A construction worker was fatally hit by a dump truck in a work zone along southbound Interstate 95 near Mountain Road.
The construction worker's identity has not yet been released by the Maryland State Police.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, troopers from the Maryland State Police JFK Memorial Highway Barrack were called to the area of southbound Interstate 95, near Mountain Road (Maryland 152) for a report of a crash involving a dump truck and a pedestrian. According to a preliminary investigation, a dump truck in the work zone was backing up when, for unknown reasons, hit a worker, according to state police.

One lane on southbound I-95 was temporarily closed. The crash investigation is ongoing.
