Harford County's Second Chance Job Fair To Help Ex-Offenders

Harford County's Second Chance Job & Resource Fair​ will offer life-changing opportunities for those who've had past criminal charges.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — It’s not always easy for ex-offenders to find employment after they’ve served their sentences, but Harford County government wants to change that.

In July, the county will host its fourth annual Second Chance Job & Resource Fair, which offers life-changing opportunities for those who've had past criminal charges or experienced incarceration.

According to to the county, the fair helps match employers and resources with people who are committed to rebuilding their lives.

The job fair will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 23, at EPICENTER at Aberdeen, which is at 21 Aberdeen Shopping Plaza in Aberdeen.

Attendees should bring a resume and dress for interviews.

The event and services provided are FREE and include:

  • Legal Assistance & Expungement Services
  • Housing Assistance
  • Birth Certificate Printing/ID Services
  • Utility Assistance
  • Mediation
  • Treatment & Recovery Support
  • Family Assistance & Youth Programs
  • GED, Continuing Education & Certificate Information
  • Bonding Information

Masks or facial coverings are required. All participants will be required to follow state mandated COVID-19 requirements.
