Lane Closures Expected Along US 1 Bypass​ For Guardrail Replacement Project

Drivers should expect land closures during a project to replace guardrails in both directions of the US 1 Bypass​.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will start a project to replace aging guardrail in Harford County on Monday. The project should wrap up by early December, weather permitting.

The guardrail replacement project will take place in both directions of the US 1 Bypass between Tollgate Road and MD 147 (Harford Road) and MD 624 between MD 165 (Pylesville Road) and the Pennsylvania State line.

Drivers can expect single-lane closures guided by a flagging operation Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
