Lane Closures Planned Along Harford Road For Barrier Upgrade Project

Crews will be closing lanes along Harford Road (MD 147) in order to upgrade traffic barriers. The project should wrap up by month's end.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Starting Wednesday, drivers should anticipate single lane closures along Harford Road (MD 147) at Little Gunpowder Falls and the Baltimore/Harford County Line.

The $156,000 barrier upgrade work should wrap up by late September, weather permitting.

Starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, crews will work weekdays to remove and replace a 0.2-mile section of traffic barrier. The barrier upgrade work on MD 147 is part of the State Highway Administration’s $5.7 million contract to upgrade traffic barriers and improve safety on state highways within Baltimore and Harford counties.
