MD Christmas Lights 2021: Where To See Best Holiday Displays
Holiday light shows are popping up around Maryland Here's where to check them out for yourself.

MARYLAND — Light shows around Maryland are spreading holiday cheer. Here are some of the best Christmas light shows around, submitted by Patch readers.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
313 Delma Ave, Pasadena, MD 21122. Lights are on nightly except when it rains.

1535 Marco Dr., Pasadena, MD 21122.
8126 Quarterfield Farms Drive, Severn, MD 21144. Lights are on from 5–11 p.m. and are synchronized to music, which turns off at 9:30 p.m. Archways over the sidewalk can be great for pictures, and the vertical lines of lights on the yard make it look like snow is on the ground, according to Joey Lupo, the University of Maryland student who orchestrated the display. He said people can park and walk around on the sidewalk. Days when it rains are not the best for viewing, as some lights short out.
1545 Ringe Drive, Severn, MD 21144. Known as "Mamulaville," this display features 71 inflatables, 32 holiday arches, 16 plastic molds and 1,900 feet of lights on the house.
7881 Walnut Grove Rd, Severn, MD 21144. The "Lights at Elmhurst" show started Nov. 25 and runs from 5–9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5–10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Thousands of lights are synchronized to music. Tune in on 88.3 FM.

BALTIMORE CITY
3400 Royston Ave., Baltimore, MD 21214. Lights are on from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at this home in Hamilton, known as Miracle at 3400 Royston. They switched on Nov. 28 and will be up through Jan. 6. People can donate to the John Hopkins Children’s Center in honor of Baltimore's Mo Gaba. Donations will be accepted through Venmo to Miracle@3400..jpeg)
BALTIMORE COUNTY
2525 McComas Ave., Dundalk MD 21222.
1510 Galena Rd, Essex, MD 21221. This light show features 10 songs set to music daily from 5–9 p.m.
26 Old Creek Ct., Owings Mills, MD 21117. Lights will be on daily from 5–9 p.m. They are synced with 101.9 FM.

7414 Chesapeake Rd., Middle River, MD 21220.

9106 Deborah Ave., Nottingham, MD 21236. The lights are on daily from 5–10 p.m., and Santa and the Grinch will be on hand for pictures on Friday and Saturday nights in December (except Dec. 10 and 11). A donation box will be there to benefit the Lissencephaly Foundation. Candy canes are reportedly on the front porch.

1707 Content Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136. This display, known as a Content Christmas, features more than 40,000 mini lights; a 20-foot mega tree; 109 red and green light balls; and a life-size, custom-built Santa sleigh, which the homeowners say is perfect for pictures. It will be lit up from 5 to 10:30 p.m. daily through Jan. 9, 2022. Donations collected will benefit the Baltimore Humane Society.

HARFORD COUNTY
1111 Cedar Lane, Bel Air, MD 21015. Cedar Lane Holiday Light Show, weather-permitting, is open daily 5:30–10 p.m. starting Dec. 4 through New Year's Eve. Fog, fountains, two 22-foot mega trees and multiple matrix boards are synchronized to holiday songs. This is the 6th year for the show and it will honor those helping the community get through the pandemic. Tune in to 107.9 FM. Funds will be donated to JDRF — researching and developing a cure for Type-1 diabetes (TD1).

500 David Dr., Bel Air MD 21015. The light show runs from 5–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with the potential for longer hours closer to Christmas. The show began Nov. 29 and runs through the first week of January. Tune in to the music on 91.7 FM from the car or listen on the sidewalk. Songs will change for New Year's.

1722 Edwin Dr., Bel Air, MD 21015. Brad’s Christmas Light Show runs from 5:30–9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5:30–10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, from Nov. 27 to Jan. 1. Tune in to 92.7 FM in to hear the music, which is synchronized to holiday lights. People can donate to Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic online or at the location.

3107 Nova Scotia Road, Bel Air, MD 21015. The Spencer Family Holiday Lights shine 5–11 p.m. until Jan. 3. More than 175 blow molds plus other inflatables and items are on display, courtesy of the Spencer family, which has been decorating for more than 15 years. About 5,000 lights are out this year and so is a mega tree.

1200 E. Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. The Christmas Festival of Lights at St. Matthew Lutheran Church runs from 6–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The drive-up display off Route 22 is set to music. People can park in the lot and tune in to 107.1 FM. From Friday to Sunday, the church opens to showcase its train garden and serves hot cocoa. People must wear face coverings to go inside. Donations of nonperishable goods will go to the church's food pantry.

1202 Peachtree Road, Fallston, MD 21047. Lights will be turned on daily from 5:30-9 p.m.
705 Oak Road., Joppa, Md. 21085. A mailbox where kids can drop their letters for Santa is available at "Christmas at the Compound" in Joppa. If they leave a return address, Santa's elves will reply. Lights are on from 5:30–10 p.m. daily. Donations benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

2111 Telegraph Rd, Pylesville, MD 21132. For the 10th year, the Newton family presents "A Newton Noel: A Christmas Light Show." It kicked off Nov. 27 and runs nightly until Jan. 1. Hours are 6–9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 6–10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Hours will be extended closer to Christmas; check the Newton Noel Facebook page for details.New this year are four talking trees who will narrate the show, which includes a 7-foot-tall nativity star, 18-foot mega tree, nativity scene and two 10-foot trees. Tune in to 107.1 FM. Donations will benefit local organizations.

HOWARD COUNTY
7816 Tilghman St., Fulton, MD 20759. People are invited to scan the QR code on the front door of this home, which has a light display that creates a game of Tic Tac Toe. The homeowners call it "Tic Tac Tilghman."

MONTGOMERY COUNTY
7712 Shady Brook Lane, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. Lights will be on from 5:15–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5:15 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday at the "Witmer Christmas Lights" display.

10907 Silent Wood Place, North Potomac, MD 20878. Lights are on 5–10:30 p.m. on weekends and 5–10 p.m. on weekdays. "Check out Santa in the window!" the homeowners say.
