Large Mulch Pile Fire Needed 58K Gallons Of Water To Extinguish

A large mulch pile fire burning over the state border in PA Sunday drew mutual aid from several fire companies including Harford.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Firefighters from Harford County provided mutual aid to the Robert Fulton Fire Company in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania, Sunday after a large mulch pile caught on fire.

Crews from Lancaster, Cecil, Harford and Chester counties responded to the fire, which needed 58,000 gallons of water to put out.

A local eatery, Dolce Vita Pizzeria and Grill, donated 22 large pizzas to feed the firefighters who battled the burning pile for a couple of hours.
