MARYLAND — Business news highlights from the past week in Maryland include the opening of the third Amazon Fresh store in the state, a car dealership was hit with charges of deceptive business practices, and a Baltimore Ravens players is parterning with a Maryland bank to help kids.

Sadly, however, Elevation Burger closed a Maryland location. The eatery was known for its organic patties and cage-free chicken. Nationally known restaurateurs the Voltaggio brothers are working to open another dining venue in the state.

Car Dealership Charged With Unfair, Deceptive Sales Methods

A car dealership has been charged by the state's attorney with unfair and deceptive sales practices that violate the Maryland Consumer Protection Act. The state claims the dealership charged more than advertised for vehicles, including fees for equipment already installed, as well as a fee equal to an extra 2% of the vehicle sales price that the respondents were told was optional.

Ravens Wide Receiver Zay Flowers Partners With M&T Bank

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has partnered with New York-based M&T Bank on a new marketing campaign for the upcoming 2024 NFL season. Flowers said he plans to use the platform to help kids.
