2001 Chevy Chase Killing Still Under Investigation, MOCO Police Say
Leslie Jennings Preer was found dead in her home with trauma to her body on May 2, 2001, police said. Detectives are still investigating.

CHEVY CHASE, MD — Detectives are still investigating the killing of Leslie Jennings Preer, a Chevy Chase resident who was found dead in her home more than 20 years ago.
Montgomery County Police recently published a news release that Preer's case is still an ongoing homicide investigation.
Authorities say that Preer's employer called her family when she didn't show up to work May 2, 2001. The employer and Preer's husband went to her house on Drummond Avenue to check on her, and found a "suspicious scene" and her body.

Police are now asking anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Division – Cold Case Unit at 240-773-5070 or 240-773-TIPS, or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
There could be a $10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest, and police said that callers may remain anonymous.
