3 Arrested For Assaulting, Pepper Spraying Ride On Bus Driver
Police arrested three Montgomery County adults for assaulting and pepper spraying a Ride On bus driver in North Bethesda last month.

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — Police arrested three Montgomery County adults for assaulting and pepper spraying a Ride On bus driver in North Bethesda last month.
Tipsters helped identify the three suspects after police released surveillance photos of the incident.
The suspects are: Shauntrice Lorea Jackson, 20, of Damascus; Chassadee Monique Martin, 18, of Kensington; and a 17-year-old male from the Rockville area.

Police said the three suspects boarded the bus in the area of Nicholson Lane and Nicholson Court on March 7.
The driver said the suspects were "disorderly and disturbing the other passengers" and asked them to stop, police said. The suspects ignored the driver and continued to be disruptive.

The driver stopped the bus on Westlake Drive near Arizona Circle and told the suspects to exit the bus. As they exited, Jackson allegedly spit on the driver.
The driver exited the bus and was immediately assaulted and pepper sprayed by Jackson, police said.
Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the bus' location and transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Jackson was charged with assault-related offenses, disorderly conduct, failure to pay bus fare, refusal to leave the bus, disruptive behavior at a public facility and interfering with the operations of a public passenger vehicle. He was released after posting a $3,500 bond.
Martin was charged with disorderly conduct, refusal to leave the bus, disruptive behavior at a public facility and interfering with the operations of a public passenger vehicle.
The 17-year-old male was charged as a juvenile with second-degree assault, refusal to leave the bus, disruptive behavior at a public facility and interfering with the operations of a public passenger vehicle, police said. He was released to the custody of his parents.
