3 Teens Charged In Series Of Bethesda Home Robberies

BETHESDA, MD — Three teenagers are facing charges after police said they burglarized several Bethesda homes and also stole vehicles and property.

According to Montgomery County police, 19-year-old Casey Jones of Bethesda, 19-year-old Caleb Taylor of Rockville and 18-year-old Arden Gormley were arrested this week in connection with a series of crimes that occurred between April and December 2024.

According to police, the trio was first arrested in December after they broke into a home on Massachusetts Avenue, where they stole property and a vehicle.

Investigators later determined Jones, Taylor and Gormley were also involved in the following incidents:

Monday, Nov. 18:

  • Attempted burglary on Davenport Terrance
  • First-degree burglary on Avalon Drive
  • First-degree burglary on Cranston Road

Tuesday, Nov. 19:

  • First-degree burglary and auto theft on Mohican Place

Saturday, Nov. 23:

  • First-degree burglary on Cromwell Drive

Sunday, Dec. 1:

  • Attempted burglary on Cromwell Drive
  • Attempted burglary on Welborn Drive
  • First-degree burglary and auto theft on Harwick Road
  • Theft on Cromwell Drive
  • First-degree burglary and auto theft on Ramsgate Road

Following the investigation, authorities issued arrest warrants for Jones, Taylor and Gormley on charges including first- and second-degree burglary, auto theft and theft.

During a search of their homes, police said they found items connecting the trio to the above crimes. Investigators also discovered evidence that linked Jones, Taylor and Gormley to more than a dozen additional burglaries, thefts and auto thefts in Bethesda dating back to April 2024.

Jones was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond. Taylor was released on an unsecured personal bond and Gormley was released on his own recognizance.
