Bethesda Metro Elevator Could Open Friday
The re-opening of the elevator, which has been closed for a rehabilitation project, has been delayed several times.

The much-delayed opening of the Bethesda Metro station elevator is set for Friday, the Washington Post reports.
A state inspection of the elevator was set for Wednesday, according to the report.
Metro was awaiting the state inspection before it could re-open the elevator, even though the repair work has been finished, The Washington Examiner reported last week.

The elevator closed in May for a rehabilitation project that was initially expected to take four months. Metro crews ran into delays acquiring parts for the project, and new state elevator codes also contributed to the delay, according to a Gazette report.
Next up for the station? A expected to launch in early 2014.
