Car Overturns, Traps Driver Along Beltway In Bethesda
A driver was seriously injured after they were trapped in their car that rolled into an embankment along the Beltway in Bethesda.
BETHESDA, MD — A driver was seriously injured after they were trapped in their car that rolled into an embankment along the Beltway in Bethesda, officials said. The car overturned and rolled off the inner loop of the highway near the 1-270 spur at about 2:20 a.m., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Rescue crews had to cut off the roof to get the driver out, Piringer told Bethesda Magazine. The driver was trapped for about ten minutes.
