Familiarize Yourself with the New Voting System Before the Presidential General Election

The Montgomery County Board of Elections encourages residents to learn to use the new scan voting system prior to voting.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD - The Montgomery County Board of Elections encourages the County’s residents to become familiar with the new, paper based, digital image scan voting system prior to arriving for the Presidential General Election, Tuesday, November 8, or during Early Voting, October 27 - November 3. Demonstration voting units will be available at the Montgomery County Board of Elections, 18753 N. Frederick Ave., Suite 210, Gaithersburg, MD 20879-3121; Tel: 240-777-8500; MD Relay: 1-800-735-2258.

This year the State of Maryland is implementing a new, paper based, optical scan voting system. Voters will mark their selections with a pen on paper ballots prior to inserting them in the scanner for tabulation.
