1.) Jim Sanborn Artist Talk

Where/When: 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Glen Echo

Why Go: Listen in on an artist talk with renowned artist Jim Sanborn, the designer of the famed Kryptos sculpture at the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. Sanborn, a former resident artist at Glen Echo, will have his work on display at the park from May 5 through May 28. An opening reception for the exhibition will follow the talk.

2.) ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Book Signing 

Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the

Why Go: Catch a book signing with E.L. James, author of “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Then, take your copy of the book to for an $8 Grey Goose martini.

 

3.) Kentucky Derby/ Cinco De Mayo Fundraiser

Where/When: 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at

Why Go: Catch jazz music from Jazz Nocturne, followed by rock from 2nd Sole. Proceeds from the sale of tickets to the Capital Jazz Fest in June will benefit

4.) Cesco Osteria Fashion Show

Where/When:  Noon- 2p.m. Sunday, May 6, at

Why Go: The Co2 Runway is coming to Bethesda! Enjoy an event that combines fashion, food and music and catch a sneak preview of the Lilly Pulitzer summer line.
