MOCO Easter Bunny Portraits 2022: Where To Go

The Westfield Montgomery Mall will host Easter Bunny portrait in the weeks leading up to the holiday.

BETHESDA, MD — Easter is on April 17 this year and many families in Montgomery County may be looking to get a photo with the Easter Bunny before then.

History.com says that the origins of the Easter Bunny are somewhat unclear, but said the rabbit is "an ancient symbol of fertility and new life." Some say that the tradition was brought to the United States by German immigrants who lived in Pennsylvania in the 1700s, when children made nests for the Easter Bunny to put colorful eggs in.

This Easter families can celebrate with portraits and local Easter eggs hunts. One egg hunt, hosted by the Montgomery County Police Department, will be held this weekend.
