Murder Charge Filed In Kensington Shooting
A 21-year-old Kensington man has been charged with second-degree murder in Monday's shooting death of a Sykesville man.
KENSINGTON, MD — A 21-year-old Kensington man has been charged with second-degree murder in Monday's shooting death of Trevor Dean Van Devander, 29, of Sykesville, according to Montgomery County Police.
Benjamin Jack Dresbach is accused of shooting Van Devander in the 3900 block of Franklin Street in Kensington. Police found Van Devander suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death.

Investigators said Dresbach and Van Devander were inside Dresbach's residence when a fight led to the shooting.
Dresbach was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
