
Montgomery County Police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from Jan. 24 to Feb. 1. Following is a summary of crimes in Bethesda.
Jan. 27
- A residential burglary happened in the 5700 block of Cromwell Drive sometime between Thursday, Jan. 27 and Friday, Jan. 28. Property was taken.

- A sexual assault happened in the 5200 block of Roosevelt Street around noon. The victim, a teenage girl, reported that a male sexually assaulted her. Police are describing the suspect as a 17-year-old black male, six feet one inches tall and 210 pounds.
Jan. 29
- Three commercial burglaries happened at the Westfield Montgomery mall at 7101 Democracy Boulevard in the overnight hours from Saturday, Jan. 29 into Sunday, Jan. 30. Property was taken at three kiosks inside the mall, but no suspects were seen.

- A theft happened at Wildwood Baptist Church at 10200 Old Georgetown Road sometime between Sunday, Jan. 30 and Monday, Jan. 31. Copper down spouts were taken from the outside of the church. No suspects were seen.
