Police Release Photos Of North Bethesda Armed Carjacking Suspect
Montgomery County police on Friday released surveillance photos of a suspect in an armed carjacking that occurred on Tuesday, May 9.

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police on Friday released surveillance photos of a suspect in an armed carjacking that occurred on May 9. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, police officers responded to the 11300 block of Woodglen Drive in North Bethesda for the report of an armed carjacking that just occurred.
Police determined that an adult female victim was walking away from her 2015 navy blue BMW 535i that was parked in the 5500 block of Executive Blvd. when the suspect approached her, demanded her keys and displayed a dark colored handgun, police said. The victim threw her keys at the suspect and ran toward Woodglen Drive where she called the police.

The suspect left the area in the BMW, traveling on Woodglen Drive toward Nicholson Lane, according to police.

The suspect is described as a Black male, in his late teens to early 20s, according to police. He is described as between 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 5-feet, 11-inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds, wearing a black surgical mask, a black jacket with a light gray hoodie sweatshirt underneath, ripped black jeans and black and gray Jordan sneakers, police said.
Anyone with information about the suspect can contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect, police said. Callers can remain anonymous.
