Porsche Carjackers Can't Drive Stick Shift, Video Of Suspects Released
The armed suspects tried to steal a Porsche in Bethesda, but they failed because they didn't know how to drive a manual transmission car.

BETHESDA, MD — Dash camera video of suspects who tried to carjack a Porsche 911 on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda last Sunday was released by Montgomery County police on Friday.
At about 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, police officers responded to the 7300 block of Wisconsin Avenue for a report of an attempted armed carjacking.
Detectives released dash camera video of the four suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

A man parked his gray 2022 Porsche 911 in a parking space in Bethesda. After the man got out of the Porsche, a maroon Nissan Rogue stopped next to the Porsche. Three suspects got out of the Nissan, while an armed suspect remained seated in the Nissan, police said.
One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim, demanded his car keys, and hit the victim in the head with the handgun. The victim complied with the suspect’s demand.

One of the other two suspects attempted to drive away in the Porsche, but the Porsche had manual transmission, and the suspect was not able to drive it. The suspects then got back in the Nissan and left the scene.
One of the suspects is described as a Black Hispanic male, with a thin build, between 16 and 20 years old, armed with a handgun, wearing a surgical mask, a black coat and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
Another suspect is described as a Black male, with a thin build, between 16 and 20 years old, wearing a black coat, black jeans and light blue sneakers.
The third suspect is described as a Black male, with a thin build, unknown age, wearing a black ski mask, gloves, a black coat and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
The fourth suspect is a Black male, unknown age and unknown clothing description, police said.
