Video Of Suspects In MoCo Amazon Fresh Robbery Released By Police

Four people, at least one armed with a gun, robbed the Amazon Fresh store on Wisconsin Avenue in Friendship Heights on Monday, police said.

CHEVY CHASE, MD — Four people, at least one armed with a gun, robbed the Amazon Fresh store on Wisconsin Avenue in the Friendship Heights neighborhood on Monday, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

At about 12:45 p.m. on Monday, police officers responded to the store in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue for the report of a commercial armed robbery.

Police learned that four suspects entered the store and began filling bags full of items. When an employee approached two of the suspects, one of the suspects pulled up his shirt, displayed a handgun in his waistband and announced the robbery, police said.

The employee then backed away, and all four suspects left the store, headed in the direction of the Friendship Heights Metro Station, carrying bags full of stolen items, according to police.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspects on Wednesday. Suspect one is described as a Black male with a medium build, approximately 6-feet, 1-inch tall and 180 pounds with a beard.

Suspect two is described as a Black female, approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall. Her hair was dyed orange and styled in braids. Suspect three and four are described as two Black males, one with a medium build and the other with a beard.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
