Whitman Student, 14, Arrested For Drug Possession At School

The student was arrested on campus Dec. 5, according to police.

A 14-year-old Walt Whitman High School student was arrested Dec. 5 for drug possession, according to Montgomery County police.

The arrest happened on school grounds, according to police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Innocenti.

Police responded to the school around 1:50 p.m. The student, a male, was found carrying a small plastic baggie of marijuana, Innocenti said.

The arrest followed a Dec. 1 off-campus house party during which 30 Whitman students received alcohol-related citations, Whitman's Black and White school newspaper reported.
