Zero Deaths Reported In Montgomery County For Second Straight Day
Since its outbreak emerged in March, Montgomery County has reported 61,942 COVID-19 infections and 1,337 deaths.
BETHESDA, MD — For the second straight day this week, Montgomery County saw no new coronavirus deaths.
The state's most populous jurisdiction reported its first coronavirus-related death on March 21. Daily deaths peaked at 30 on April 27 — according to county coronavirus data — and has consistently been in the single digits since June 6.
As of Wednesday, the death toll remained unchanged at 1,337.

Another 45 people, according to health officials, may have had the virus but died before ever getting tested. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."
County health officials also reported 107 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, pushing its total since March to 61,942.

Across Maryland, there have been 372,980 coronavirus cases, 7,449 confirmed deaths, and 181 "probable deaths." Of the 1,096 patients being hospitalized for the disease statewide, 272 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
