1 Dead In PG County Crash: Police

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- One man died after a single-vehicle crash near Joint Base Andrews earlier this week, police say.

Police were called to the area of Marlboro Pike near Dower House Road to a report of a single-vehicle collision, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police found 24-year-old Charvez Brown of Capitol Heights dead from his injuries. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

"The preliminary investigation reveals Brown was travelling southbound on Marlboro Pike when for reasons that remain under investigation, his car left the roadway and ultimately struck a tree," the report states.
