10 Carson Scholars Named At Prince George's County Public Schools

Ten students have been named Carson Scholars at Prince George's County Public Schools, the largest group of such scholars for PGCPS.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Ten Prince George's County Public Schools students have been recognized as Carson Scholars, making this the largest group of Carson Scholars among all awardees at PGCPS this school year.

“These students exemplify the best of PGCPS - academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to making a difference in their communities,” said PGCPS Superintendent Millard House II. “We are proud of their achievements and looking forward to seeing them continue to shine at the highest levels.”

Each year, the Carson Scholars Fund recognizes top students in grades 4-11 for academic excellence and outstanding community service. This year, four Prince George's County students earned the distinguished Carson Scholar title, receiving a $1,000 scholarship, an Olympic-sized medal and a certificate.
