$100K Win Will Help Mom Pay For Trip, Daughter's Quinceañera
A Riverdale mom who loves playing the lottery hadn't won a big prize until now. She plans to use her $100K winnings for summer travel.
RIVERDALE, MD — After years of winning small prizes playing the lottery, a woman from Riverdale couldn't believe her luck when she landed a $100,000 prize on the Monopoly X50 scratch-off game recently.
The winner was recently out running errands as she popped by the Whitfield Sunoco station at 9105 Annapolis Road in Lanham to buy a scratch-off. She played the Monopoly scratch-off game when she got home and discovered she'd won $100,000.
She said she plans to use the winnings to help pay for some planned summer travel, a quinceañera celebration for her daughter and "buy more lottery tickets," she said. The Sunoco station, located at 9105 Annapolis Road in Lanham, receives a bonus of $1,000, equal to 1% of the prize total.
