HYATTSVILLE, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday in Hyattsville.On Dec. 19 around 11:40 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Annapolis Road and Baltimore-Washington Parkway for a report of a collision. The preliminary investigation indicates that a driver was traveling westbound along Annapolis Road when their vehicle, for reasons currently being investigated, hit a vehicle traveling eastbound that 49-year-old Laura Johnson of Laurel was riding in, according to police.The driver, along with a passenger and Johnson, were all taken to a hospital with what were initially considered non-life-threatening injuries. Johnson died at the hospital.
